What water sports are you families favorites?

What are the water sports your kids enjoy most? Wake surfing, wake boarding, water skiing, tubing or just riding on the jet-ski? Wake boarding is a water sport in which the rider, standing on a wake-board (a short board with foot bindings), is towed behind a motorboat across its wake and especially up off the crest in order to perform aerial maneuvers.

Wake surfing is a water sport in which a rider trails behind a boat, riding the boat's wake without being directly pulled by the boat. After getting up on the wake, typically by use of a tow rope, the wake surfers will drop the rope, and ride the steep face below the wave's peak in a fashion reminiscent of surfing.

Water skiing is a surface water sport in which an individual is pulled behind a boat or a cable ski installation over a body of water, skimming the surface on two skis or one ski. The sport requires sufficient area on a smooth stretch of water, one or two skis, a tow boat with tow rope, two or three people and a personal flotation device. In addition, the skier must have adequate upper and lower body strength, muscular endurance, and good balance.

Tubing is a recreational activity where an individual rides on top of an inner tube, on the water and sometimes jump wake that throws them through the air. The tubes themselves are also known as "donuts" or "biscuits" due to their shape.

They can all be fun and easy to learn and enjoy with your children, you will need the proper boat for some of them but most can be done with a ski boat, pontoon boat, or deck boat. The new Montara Surf Boss we have on the lot is great for wake boarding and wake surfing but you can also use it like a pontoon and load it down with all your friends and family then pull it up on the bank when you want to just sit and hang out on the island.

Arkansas Marine will be unveiling new water sports equipment this coming Saturday August 8th on lake Ouachita, on hotel island. You will not want to miss this! You can call or text our work number to find us 501-213-9373.
